Hello, World.

#meta#homelab#intro

Boot sequence complete.

If you're reading this, the site is up. That alone is worth a post.

grfns.com has existed as a domain for a while, sitting idle on shared hosting, doing nothing particularly useful. That changes now.

What this place is

This is my corner of the internet. Part portfolio, part blog, part lab notebook. I'm going to write about the things I actually work on:

  • Self-hosted infrastructure and homelabs
  • Apple ecosystem and enterprise IT
  • Automation, scripting, and tooling
  • Whatever I'm building or breaking at any given moment

No SEO strategy. No content calendar. Just things worth writing down.

What's running under the hood

The stack, since people always ask:

  • Next.js 16 on Vercel
  • Cloudflare for DNS, CDN, and Zero Trust access
  • Nextcloud on a RapidSeedbox VPS at cloud.grfns.com
  • Jellyfin and a whole media automation stack running on Jarvis — my M4 Mac Mini
  • WireGuard tying it all together

The whole thing came together in a single afternoon. That felt good.

Where it's going

The about page has the career history. The blog will have the rest. At some point there'll be a portfolio section and maybe a merch store — I've been thinking about making some art, and 8-bit neon cyberpunk t-shirts feel like the right direction.

For now: hello, world.

we are live

More soon.
